Upton resident Jan Lewis offers an opportunity for local entrepreneurs, small business owners and unemployed persons to get the word out about what they do.
Lewis, host of "Be My Guest!", Upton's cable television interview program, has a passion for helping people get the word out about what they do and to hopefully connect with others who share their interest.
Besides being the host of this 1/2 hour interview program, Lewis works at assisting others as a Personal Business Connector, allowing her love of communication and "being a people person" promote others to succeed especially in this slow economy.
Born and raised in the western part of MA, Jan attended college in New Hampshire and majored in Art. (She creates Abstract Art in a tribal/funky style, for wall art, etc., when she has the spare time).

While in college, she enjoyed being the first female Radio Announcer on the campus radio station, getting her "baptism under fire" by being given only one morning to learn the ropes of how to work the technology in the control room/broadcasting booth! A few years later, she began Announcing on an FM music station in Brockton, Mass. She comes well by her interest in the broadcasting field; her father, Gordon Lewis. was an Announcer and Co-founder of WIDE in Biddeford, Maine and was also an Announcer at numerous other stations in Massachusetts.
Soon after Lewis' son was born, she began co-Hosting a cable television interview program in Northbridge and later began her own interview programs in Worcester and Grafton. Her guests have come from all walks of life, from politicians and authors, to meditation teachers and inventors! One interview in particular stands out as one of her favorites, when WTAG radio's Jordan Levy appeared as a guest on the show.
"Be My Guest!" is open to people in Worcester County, Metrowest and the Blackstone Valley who would like to be a guest on the program. The show is taped so that any editing may be done, if needed, before the show airs.
Every guest receives a complimentary DVD copy of the show that they appear on and may take that to any cable station, such as their own hometown/city station, for airing as well as for business presentations, etc.
