Thought and Poem – December 9, 2014
Just like there are no two snowflakes alike, no two flowers alike, no two of anything are exactly alike, each of us individually are different from one another in some special way. What you like I may not, what you see as your future, I may not see as my future. Being different is not a bad thing. It just means that we don’t think and do things the same as someone else or in the same way.
So then tell me why people have to compete, be No. 1, get jealous, or even dislike you when you stand out as different or when they think you are better at doing something they wish to do too? Would they prefer that we all were the same? Like clones?

I sure wish people would put the same amount of effort in praising others as they do in critiquing someone for their skills, accomplishments or superior and outstanding gifts. Can you imagine how different this world could be if we built up one another instead of bringing each other down because we are not alike? I can. And I see that with the right education based on principles outlined for good morally clean living; this earth could be a place where each of us could fulfill our dreams and live together peacefully.
What about you? Would you prefer that we all were alike? Or could you learn more with each of us being different and reaping the benefits of such talent? Share your thoughts with us…Jeanne Claire Probst

To be the same…or not to be…
It should be taught to all people from infancy,
That no two people are alike yet we have the same body parts, the same desires and dreams.
We all have our individual ideas on how we wish to pursue these;
No two people think or seek these in the same way and this is okay with me.
We all are unique in our own way
You have your ideas, I have mine…and this is okay.
Even if we are going after the same kinds of dreams and desires,
Look for ways we can learn from each other and another’s work admire.
You shouldn’t have to be jealous of other people you meet,
We are not playing a game…so we don’t have to compete.
Yet the only winners of dreams are the ones, who try,
As they will see their ideas in action…before they die.
So see your “neighbor” as yourself,
If your neighbor needs assistance…offer your ideas…and when you are seeking your dreams
Be humble enough to accept help.
Even if “different” our works will declare.
We wish that all can explore the individual gifts we have to share.
