BK Worker Charged with Failing to Register as Sex Offender

Clinton Police alerted Northborough Police about a sex offender who failed to comply with the conditions of the registry.

Northborough police arrested a man who was working at the Northborough Crossing Burger King for failing to register as a sex offender.

William J. Cole, 55, 90 Sterling St., Apt. 148, West Boylston, was arrested early Thursday morning and charged after Clinton police called Northborough police to inform them that Cole allegedly cleans the Burger King restaurant. Around 3:30 a.m., Northborough officers visited the restaurant, and found a Dodge Stratus in the parking lot that matched Cole's license plate number.

Police say Cole walked toward the police cruiser, and officers confirmed that he  was working, and was the man in question. Cole was cuffed, and police arrested him on a warrant issued by the Clinton District Court for failing to comply with registry conditions as a sex offender. Sgt. Brian Coyne of the Clinton Police Department said that he "failed to comply with several of the conditions."
