Jordan Saglio didn’t head to Hollywood to be on the Price is Right. But as it so happened, he and his girlfriend, Rachel Keedy, were on the classic morning game show.

Saglio, who is from Northborough, and Keedy, who is from Natick, visited Los Angeles in November to visit Keedy’s sister.

“I went to the taping because my girlfriend’s sister’s apartment in Hollywood was only two miles away from the studio,” said Saglio. “Watching the ‘Price is Right’ was a tradition every morning with my brother and our friends who lived in our neighborhood. When I found out we were going to be staying so close to the studio, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.”

Both had to sign some forms promising not to reveal the outcome of the show in any fashion. But Saglio will say that he was called to “come on down” and bid, and got up on stage.

“I also cannot reveal any prizes that were given away on the show or else I have to forfeit my winnings,” said Saglio. “Just getting into the studio is somewhat a process. You wait in line for 4-5 hours while the producers interview everyone and select who’s going to be chosen to ‘come on down.’”

The studio, he said, is very small - fitting only about 300 people.

“This is something that surprised me compared to what I expected,” he said. “Also, it’s so loud in the studio. When bidding, it’s impossible to hear what anyone else has bid. You are really just taking a shot in the dark.”
