Thought and Poem – December 24, 2014
There seems to be a color for every time we change our moods. Colors can also help us detect if we or someone around us is ill or about to be ill. They even have rings you can wear on your fingers that will detect mood changes and there are business-like cards that you can carry around in your wallet to detect your stress levels.
You hear people say, “I talked until I was “blue” in the face and it did no good.” Blue would mean you are out of breath/low on oxygen and things like these, and unless you deal with what causes this color…what you said or did could be wasted as many don’t like the end result…when the blue color really shows up on a person. A “blue” mood could mean that a person is feeling sad or depressed (is there a difference)?

Now if someone says that you are “red” as a Beet,” this might mean you may be about to have a heart attack from over exerting yourself, or that you are choking. It could also mean that you are angry and are in a very, very bad mood and may be about to hit the roof.
“White” can mean, you need to be out in the sun more often, you are flush and clammy and about to pass out or you may have seen a ghost. If white were used to describe a mood, I would think a person would be calm and could be faintly out there at a distance in their thoughts.

We all know about “green.” Green could mean that you are about to empty your stomach at any moment or that you may be visiting from outer space! A green mood might suggest a person is jealous?
However you describe the generic colors that detect moods or illnesses, the color that you see on a person next to you may suggest whether or not you want to be close to this person. It may mean that they are sick and you can get ready to help them or move away from them very fast.
In all seriousness, colors can make you stand out as different in a crowd. There is a place to be different and even though different is okay, most like to blend in when there are others around them.
What about you? What do your colors say about you and can you be different and still blend in with those in the crowd around you? Share your thoughts with us…Jeanne Claire Probst
Do You Blend In?
Do you blend in when you are in a crowd?
Or do you stand out somehow?
Do you whisper soft words to be heard?
Or do you shout out all your words?
People want to be around
Those who are peaceful and calm,
They don’t like it when someone rocks the boat
And cause people to worry, get nervous and then perhaps lose hope.
There are ways to channel your energies
So others will want to be
Around you
And at the same time be friendly too.
Is it wrong to want to be recognized?
By others instead of feeling like you are being scrutinized.
To get a pat on the back when you have done something good
And you live your life the way you should?
A crowd of people is like a bouquet of flowers
Each person offers a different color
Each petal is a gift they can offer
Giving something special and complimenting one another.
So I ask you, “What can you offer the human race.”
That won’t make someone afraid if they are invading your space.
That they will feel safe,
And not have to turn away when they look into your eyes or when you come face to face.
So will you have a smile?
Will you not be afraid and stay for a while?
Will you offer yourself for those in need?
Will you be praising those who succeed?
If you have that smile,
If you want to stay for a while,
If you have something to offer that is good for those in need
And you are able to praise those who succeed….If together we are in a crowd, you could stand by me.
