Homeowners left for an hour on Friday evening only to return to an apparent break-in to their home.
On June 28, owners left between 6-7 p.m. and when they returned, discovered that someone had thrown a rock through the rear window of the home.
Police believe that the suspects may have been scared off, because it does not appear that anything was taken during the break.
"Obviously this is a very unusual time for a house break to occur," said Det. Brian Griffin. "Most of the breaks we investigate usually occur between late morning and early afternoon. This break happened at a time when there are normally a lot of people around in the neighborhoods."
Anyone who may have seen something out of the ordinary on Crestwood Drive on Friday evening is asked to call Northborough Police Detectives at 508-393-1522.
