The Northborough Historical Society will hold its next monthly meeting on Friday April 29, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. The evening’s program will be, 150 Years Ago - The American Civil War presented by Dennis Ricci.
Dennis Ricci will speak about the causes of the Civil War and why it was the South who seceded from the Union, when slavery seemed more protected as an institution than ever. Mr. Ricci teaches U.S. & World History at Quinsigamond Community College, where he’s been a History Professor for the past 13 years.
Meetings are held at the Historical Society building, 50 Main Street (corner of Main and School Streets) in Northborough. There is no charge to attend. All are welcome.
