Applefest 2011 5K Road Race

Corridor Nine Area Chamber of Commerce presents its 18th Annual 5k Road Race on Saturday, September 17, at 10:00 am.  The race is being sponsored by AstraZeneca, BJ's Wholesale Club, and the Community Advocate.  The start and finish of the race will be held at the Zeh School, 33 Howard Street in Northborough.  Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. Prizes are awarded to individuals that are top finishers in the following divisions: 12 and Under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and Over.

The local high school cross country teams in the region are invited to compete and a trophy is awarded to the boys and girls track team that has the fastest time of the race.  Any runner that pre-registers for the race will receive the official Race T-shirt.

The race course is a complete loop along the scenic back roads of Northborough.  The cost is $15.00, if you pre-register before September 9 and $20.00 on/after September 9.  Any runner that would like to participate in the Applefest 5k Race, can download the race application from the Chamber’s website at www.corridornine.org or call the Corridor Nine Chamber at 508-836-4444.
