Cooking Class with John Lawrence of Pepper's

A fresh tomato is a beautiful thing…all the more reason to slice it, mash it, crush it, or stuff it! Come enjoy Chefs John Lawrence and Paul Wilson of Pepper's Find Foods Catering when they take a variety of tomatoes and turn them into a mélange of tomato dishes, both hot and cold. Guests will arrive to sample "An Amuse," which is a Tomato Water Shooter with a splash of horseradish and ice vodka. Then enjoy a Solmorejo (Gazpacho) Shooter. Three courses you'll learn about will include a Roasted Tomato Terrine, a Fried Green Heirloom Tomato Salad Torte with pickled onions, basil, bacon and buttermilk dressed field greens and then you'll learn about and sample a Braised Local Veal Breast Roulade with local roasted tomato sauce demi glace served over a basil polenta. This chef duo is always a favorite bringing both finesse and a sense of humor to the kitchen. Enjoy an intimate setting where you can talk to the chefs and learn the intricacies of these extraordinary dishes.
