John Root, an experienced naturalist and educator, will take you on a guided tour and show you a sampling of some of the common wild edibles - what parts of the plant are edible, how to prepare it, when and where to forage, and lots of other interesting details.
Please contact the library at 508-393-5025 or check the website close to the date for specific parking instructions. In the case of sustained or heavy rain, Mr. Root will give a PowerPoint presentation in the library meeting room.
Though geared to adults, supervised children of 10 years and up are also welcome. The walk/talk will last approximately one hour (or more). Please respect the farm and its cultivated crops while there. Please wear sunscreen, insect repellant, suitable footwear, and bring water.
