UPDATE: First Day School Bus Problems?

Was the bus on time at your house?

"Let's hope day two is a little smoother," wrote one mom on her Facebook page.

The parent's son wasn't picked up by the schoolbus Wednesday morning. When a family friend saw the bus already at the Melican Middle School, she came back and got him. Her daughter's bus, too, was 20 minutes late.

Others, too, commented about bus troubles this morning.

Liz Nolan, a frequent contributor to Northborough Patch and local mom, said, at 9 a.m., that "Buses always have to work out the kinks in the beginning of the year. I dropped my guys off to school and there were no buses in sight. I haven't seen one yet go by the house."

Another added, "My middle schooler was forgotten and our elementary school bus was late. Frustrating but I am reserving judgment...it's only the first day and we are a new house on the route."

Others commented that their bus was "right on time" and there were no glitches.

Charles Gobron, superintendent of schools, said, "I have heard from most of the schools and we are not aware of any major problemsβ€”just the normal start of the year glitches that are almost impossible to avoid with the volume of traffic we have at the present time."

Have you had bus problems? Are you still out there waiting? What time was the bus supposed to come? How old is your child and what school do they attend?
