Learn More About the Fresh Air Fund
There's an information session planned for Northborough families who are interested in participating.

The Fresh Air Fund hosts a meeting on Monday, June 15, at the Northborough Public Library from 7-8:30 pm.
The Fresh Air Fund, an independent, not-for-profit organization, is celebrating its 138th summer of providing free summer vacations to New York inner city children. Through the generosity of host families who open their home to a child for a week or two during the summer, city children experience the joys of summer in the suburbs, said the announcement. Current and former hosts share their experiences and answer questions about the program.
Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund has been giving inner-city children the joy of a summer vacation through the Fresh Air Fund’s Friendly Town program. Volunteer host families open their homes to New York City children from low-income communities. Host families are located throughout 13 Northeastern states and Southern Canada. Fresh Air youngsters on first-time visits are six to 12 years old and stay for up to two weeks. Refreshments will be served.
