This young group of students certainly shows us how coming together as a group can be a driving force to assist those in need.

Whiz Kids’ Key to Awesomeness: The Lil’ Angels is an outreach group comprised of 37 students from , grades four through eight; 14 of those students are from Northborough.
This group is led by outreach group coordinators Julie Stanwood, Terri Foster Beth Kurina, and Loretta Carroll.

As a group, they have accomplished an inspiring number of community service projects this past school year to benefit those in need. Here is a sampling of their achievements and hard work:
- Collected more than 126 pounds of Halloween candy for young residents of Abby's House in Worcester.
- Visited with residents of Coleman House in Northborough and shared candy and some Halloween conversations.
- Created more than 40 Thanksgiving meal baskets for Northborough families in need in conjunction with Northborough Helping Hands Association, Inc.
- Visited with residents of the Coleman House and Beaumont House, sang Christmas carols and passed out gifts to residents without families.
- Collected and delivered baby supplies (diapers, bottles, wipes, etc) to residents at Friendly House in Worcester. Spent some time visiting with the young residents baking Christmas cookies.
- Created a get well wish paper chain for a young woman undergoing Leukemia treatment at the Children's Hospital.
- Made homemade valentines for Worcester's seminarians.
- Hosted birthday parties at two local homeless shelters providing the young birthday residents with games, crafts, cake, presents and wonderful birthday memories.
- Collected more than 40 bags of clothing for the Jackson family who have adopted over 20 children.
- Joined the Worcester Fellowship and provided sandwiches and toiletry bags for Worcester's homeless and spent the afternoon sharing lunch and conversations.
"This group is inspiring, amazing and kind," stated Stanwood. "Every one of the members has always been willing to do whatever needed to get done and did it with real joy. That is how we were able to accomplish so much in a short time."
Stanwood concluded that "they all want to come back next year and are already thinking of projects."
