Moon...?

Thought and Poem – February 20, 2015

Have you ever had one of those days (weeks, months, and years) where you just wished for once you could go anywhere you wanted to go that was far away from where you are now?

Yup…I have. There have been times I thought that being on the moon would suit me fine. I think about all the times I have peered up into the night sky and observed the moon; alone, quiet and far away. What I would not do for a few minutes of real quiet time.

I think we have all had one of those moments where we just needed to go somewhere where there was silence, no other people and allow ourselves to bask in the peace of mind knowing we could actually think for a while without interruptions, arguments, or contradictions…and more importantly…no stress.

If I had a million dollars to pay for a ticket…I would definitely think seriously about talking to my travel agent.

What about you? Would going to the moon suit you, or would you want to go farther out into the galaxy? Share your thoughts with us…

Moon?

I was sitting here thinking for a minute or two ago,

What it would be like to live on the moon, if I were to decide to go?

I know I wouldn’t need to pack a knife, fork or spoon,

From the photos of the moon over the past 10 years, I don’t see that it has any FOOD?

I wouldn’t have to pack too much to wear,

Anyway, I don’t see anyone who would see what I would choose to wear,

Hold on….anybody there?

And since no one would respond to my question I think it would be agreed by all, that in this department, no one would care.

One thing I would like about being on the moon,

And I think my doctor would be happy about this too,

Is that my weight would keep my feet firmly on the ground, so this will come in handy.

And since I would not want to lose any weight while I am on this moon trip, I better bring some extra boxes of candy.

But I wouldn’t want to go away and leave my friends behind,

So I got you all a ticket to come with me, if you don’t mind?

But then again, why go through all that travel and packing stuff,

I think the fun and games we have here on Earth would be all I could handle, so I’ll get a refund for the moon trip, as dealing with what I have here…should be enough.
