More Housebreaks Have Cops, Residents on Alert
The housebreaks appear to be related, say police.

Over the past couple of weeks police have been experiencing a rash of housebreaks, with two more occurring earlier this week.
Most of these burglaries have been occurring during the daytimeβ11 a.m. and 3 p.m.βand in different neighborhoods, said police. There have, however, been a few nighttime breaks, as reported on the Northborough police Facebook page.
The most recent occurred on West Street and Mohawk Drive.

"They appear to be connected to the others B&Es that we have had this month," said Det. Brian Griffin. "The suspect has been going into the bedroom looking for jewelry, and is causing extensive damage to the side or rear doors."
The West Street break happened around noontime, when the homeowner headed out for a brief period of time, said police.Β

"We would suggest to resident to keep a light or two on at night and during the day even if they are going to be away from their residence," said Griffin.
