Northborough Announces Summer Concert Series Lineup
All concerts will be held on Sundays at Ellsworth-McAfee Park through August.
NORTHBOROUGH, MA — Northborough's Summer Concert Series is back and it's bringing more than just good tunes. Food trucks will be back again this year as well as face painting and balloon art for kids. The town added a fifth concert this summer as well.
All concerts will be held on Sundays at Ellsworth-McAfee Park (Rt. 135) in Northborough from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Midtown Horns - Sunday, June 30th, 5-7pm
From Contemporary to Motown to classic rock to Latin Rhythms, blues and soul, The Midtown Horns band can do it all. This group of players has a sound with an edge. The highly accomplished and experienced horn and rhythm sections provide the backup for two male lead vocalists and two female vocalists which serve to create a powerful, high energy band. Whether it's Bruno Mars, the Swing and Scat of Brian Setzer, the rich, full throated vocals of Earth Wind and Fire or a soulful rendition of Al Green's Lets Stay together, the lead vocalists reach the high and low range vocals of many of the world's greatest songs. The Midtown Horns excel in any genre or era of music.
The food vendors for this concert are: Northborough House of Pizza, Archie's on a Roll, Uhlman's Ice Cream and Yummy Mummy Bakery. The Face Escape will be available to paint children's faces and create balloon art.

Hit the Bus - Sunday, July 14th, 5-7pm
Hit the Bus formed in 2008 and has played all throughout Massachusetts. They play an eclectic mix of music ranging from the 50's to today's hits. Hit the Bus plays music people want to hear and dance to!
The food vendors will include Trolley Dogs, Travelin Bones Barbecue, Uhlman's Ice Cream and Yummy Mummy Bakery. The Face Escape will be available to paint children's faces and create balloon art.
Cold Spring Harbor - Sunday, July 28th, 5-7pm
Ben Eramo's Cold Spring Harbor is a Billy Joel tribute band consisting of eight fantastic musicians, and great friends, from the North Shore Greater Boston area.
The food vendors will include Northborough House of Pizza, Teddy's Lunchbox, Uhlman's Ice Cream and Yummy Mummy Bakery. The Face Escape will be available to paint children's faces and create balloon art.
Way Up South - Sunday, August 11th, 5-7pm
Way Up South has been tearing up the New England club and festival scene and rapidly gaining a reputation as an explosive live band with a deep well of compelling original music and stellar musicianship. Their expansive sound incorporates a maturity and musicianship that weaves in and out of southern, blues, country, jazz, and Americana rock - music whose precision and finesse still retain the loose spacey qualities and epitomize improvisational rock bands. This style has earned them the right to call their music "Big Sky" sound.

Playing Dead - Sunday, August 25th, 5-7pm
Playing Dead is a Grateful Dead tribute band featuring former members of Dark Star Orchestra, Slipknot!, and Uncle John's Band. Their marathon sets feature music and jams from the entire Grateful Dead catalog. Playing Dead faithfully recreates the experience of a live Grateful Dead concert. The music of The Grateful Dead is a complex stew of different styles of music including rock, blues, jazz, folk, bluegrass and more. Their improvisational style and large repertoire guaranteed that every musical performance would be unique. Every Playing Dead show is equally unique featuring different set lists each night and exciting improvisational jams.
