Northborough Gets a 'Best-Plowed' Nod in Worcester County List

The writers at Turtleboy Sports (haven’t been reading it? You should) recently took two days to wind around the roads of Worcester County. Facebook and Twitter posts raged about the roads in Worcester and some praised the work done in surrounding tows.

So Turtleboy was curious and readers had been asking for a comparison of plow jobs.

For round two (each hit 20 towns), Turtleboy gassed up and either breezed or slid through communities that included Southbridge, Sturbridge, Brookfield, East Brookfield, North Brookfield, Oakham, Rutland, Princeton, Westminster, Gardner, Ashburnham, Fitchburg, Lunenburg, Leominster, Sterling, Lancaster, Clinton, Bolton, Hudson and Northborough.

Northborough’s DPW can be proud. The town got tops in this list.

“I could drive around Northborough all day,” Turtleboy wrote. “It was easily the best plowed right we went to today, and quite frankly I expected nothing less. Even Apple Daddy, who previously went on a tear against this community, would have to admit that both the main and side roads look scrumptious.”
