Thought and Poem – December 14, 2014
Do you ever feel like you think you are on the right track in figuring out what you are supposed to do in life and how you are supposed to it and KABOOM…life throws you a 360 and you have to start all over again and on top of this you have to revamp how you think? Life is such a mystery. You think?
There are days we think we can conquer the world and we have such energy that we wonder if we are plugged into some kind of battery charger and we just don’t know it? You use your superpower-energy to push yourself to do all the things you wanted to do when you couldn’t crawl out of bed because of pain, depression, or just because you wanted to be lazy. Then you wake up the next day and KABOOM…you are right smack back to where you were two days ago when you felt the pain, depression and when you truly did not want to get up in the morning. Life is a mystery. You think?

What about you? With all that you have to face in life and the mysteries that you have not yet discovered that will be coming your way, do you wish you could go back in time and be young again and revamp you life’s plan? Share your thoughts with us…Jeanne Claire Probst

Oh, to be Young Again...
Do you remember when you were young and how easy life seemed to be?
We just couldn’t wait to grow up and leave our parent’s home, as we had a whole world still yet to see.
Boy, now that we got there and have been in the “fast lane” for a while now,
Don’t we wish we could turn back the clocks and still be young again somehow?
I don’t know about you but for me answering this seems pretty easy to do.
Being young would mean I could still run and jump so to be young again I would choose.
Don’t know why we are always in such a hurry to get where we thought we needed to go?
If only we had listened to our parents who tried to tell us what they knew and told us to take life slow.
Now I will break down some of what life has taught me and you likewise do the same
And let’s see where we went wrong when it came time for us to play this “life” game.
We couldn’t wait to turn eighteen and party the nights away,
If we just had known that there would be consequences that we would be bound to reap someday.
We might have considered how we spent our money instead to blowing it on things we just had to have.
We should have thought more seriously about our future and saved some of the money we had.
Then when it came time for us to retire from our careers when we turned sixty-five
We could have saved enough money to secure our cars and homes and not have added more stress to our lives.
If only we could have seen where how our lives would have ended up
We would have listened when the adults spoke to us and our mouths have been more apt to “button” up.
Oh, how I wish I could turn back the time and still be a youngster again
This time I would follow all the rules in life and be on the road where to its game I would win!
