Prom for Senior Citizens at Assabet Valley Postponed

Students at Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School in Marlborough were all geared up for an exciting event, the Senior Prom for senior citizens, but have run into too many roadblocks with the calendar.

“There seems to be too many other events out there this time of year, and we’ve heard from many would-be prom goers who’ve asked that we reconsider the date until perhaps the spring. Rather than have the event be a conflict for people, we will sit back and reconsider when would be a better time. The students are understandably disappointed, but having an event with only a few attendees would be disappointing as well. The best we can say is to stay tuned and watch for another announcement, probably in the spring. We would like to thank those who brought this to our attention, and remind them to check back later in the school year,” announced Assabet Valley National Honor Society advisor Kate Myers.
