Whiz Kid's Name, Age: Travis Mann, 12

Whiz Kid's School: Sixth grade at

Whiz Kid's Accomplishments: Mann was chosen as the technology student of the month this past spring, and he achieved straight As, as well. In April, he was nominated as "student of the month." Mann plays the saxophone in the schol band, and takes endurance swimming classes at the YMCA, as well as plays defense for the Northborough soccer team. He also added skiing to his skills, and spends summers at the Ecotarium studying animals and engineering. Mann also helps out with the Junior Woman's Community Meals at the Trinity Church and participates in St. Rose of Lima's youth CCD programs, and will be attending its program for middle schoolers at Camp Resolute in Boylston. At a robotics event, he was asked by coordinator Dan Strickland to join the Lego Robotic team for 9-14 year olds. 

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: He has a pleasant personality, and is kind to his friends," said his mom, Maureen Mann. "His teachers comment that he is well-mannered and bright." Maureen also commented that he has a love for turtles, has mastered games on the Wii such as Lego Indiana Jones 2, and participated in karate at Mass Dojo. He also has a hound mix dog named Alex, which adds to the awesomeness.
