The Community That Reads Together

Northborough celebrated, along with the rest of the country, Community Reading Day this week.

Communities across the country join in Community Reading Day, and Northborough has taken part for more than 20 years.

Northborough students in grades K-8 were all given a reading by local readers that included business people, the superintendent, school committee members, municipal workers, journalists, pastors, members of the Northborough Rotary and dozens of others.

Northborough Patch joined in the action, too, reading The Keeping Corner by Kashmira Sheth to a sixth grade class at the . The 8th graders got to hear The Hunger Games, which might have been a little bit easier to deliver. Β
