This Week in Lacrosse
Off to a great start, but the boys lacrosse team ended the week with a loss to Hingham.
The Algonuin boys lacrosse team started the week off with a 13-8 win over Westboro.
"The boys were playing well but were a little loose defensively in the second half," said Coach Rich Luongo "We were leading 5-1 at halftime."
Conor Healey, junior attackman, had six goals and two assists. Freshman attackman Mike Wood had four goals and three assists. Junior midfielder David Mcgovern had a goal and an assist and controlled the midfield play. Tim Hanlon and Nick Mazzola were standouts on defense.
On Saturday, the boys lost to Hingham 12-4.

"We played well in spurts but Hingham is a great program and they took control of the game in the fourth quarter," said Coach Luongo. "We play better schools to get our kids used to the higher level of play. We ran with them in the first quarter but never really got our offense on track most likely due to the strong play of the Hingham defense."
Davis Kraft, sophomore midfielder, had two goals and one assist. Healey had one goal and David McGovern, junior midfielder, had one goal.

The Tomahawks record is 3-2.
