Track Tomahawks Place Fifth in Weekend Meet
The Algonquin girls hit fifth overall with a score of 18.
The girls indoor track team placed 5th overall with a score of 18 points at the DII relay meet, the top Cmass finisher on the girl’s side.
The following it the scoring for the team:
SP relay: 6th Emily Polanowicz, Abby Solis, Sarah Jackson. All throwing season best performances, E. Polanowiczs’ and A. Solis’ marks qualifyed them for the State meet.
HJ relay: A four-way tie for second between Bridget Owen, Alisha Faherty, Emily. All jumped 4’9”, and Mauro and Faherty had season best jumps at 4'9".

4x200m relay: Fourth place, Abbie McCann, Brenna Stewart, Gaby Digiovanni (fastest leg 26.1 sec), Megan Davis (1:50.0 season best, state qualifier).
4x800: 3rd, Emily brown, laurie finelli, Annie Sullivan, Kyra Shreeve (10:08.49, state qualifier)

4x50 yd dash: Fifth place, Haley Hughes, Gaby Digiovanni, Alex Moy, Megan Davis (25.63 sec).
Notable performances by 4x50 hurdles, (Jenna Veillette, Maggie Kiley, Chelsey Thompson, Kate Fazio) ninth, 32.75; Distance Medley (same as 4x800 lineup) 10th, 13:27.15. The 4x400m relay of Brenna Stewart, Bridget Owen, Alex Moy and Karin Rozelsky ran a season best time of 4:26.00, good for 17th place.
