White Shark Named After Fallen Soldier Brian Arsenault
The Atlantic White Shark Conservatory announced that it named a shark after Arsenault in his honor.

“One of the things that makes this country so great is the freedom it provides us to follow our dreams and passions. We’ve all heard the phrase ‘Freedom isn’t Free’ and we need to remember that. Every day men and women in our Armed Services around the globe set aside their personal dreams and passions to ensure that the rest of us can pursue ours. Sadly some also pay the ultimate price, unselfishly laying down their lives for us. On September 4, 2014 Specialist Brian Arsenault from Northborough, MA paid that ultimate price in Ghazni, Afghanistan. Brian was a grenadier in the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.”
The above statement was posted on the Facebook page of the Atlantic White Conservatory, which named a white shark that was tagged on Sept. 4 off of Chatham, MA, in Brian Arsenault’s name. Arsenault reportedly loved white sharks and he and his cousin Elliot often talked about going to Mexico to cage dive.
