Thought and Poem – March 1, 2015
There are many organizations around the world that put forth great effort to challenge themselves to help make our world a better place to live…for all people.
There are many prophets of old that have spread wisdom and by example shown how this wisdom when put into action can and has made a difference in the quality of life of the people living at that time.

No greater action can there be except for the people who want peace and good health for all to put their words into actual effort for the benefit of all. No one likes to be “preached” to but how many of us find ourselves listening more if we see someone whose actions back up the words leading to the results one is looking for?
What about other living things around us? Can we learn something from these too? They don’t use words, they don’t organize committees to promote the betterment for all mankind, but they tell us something still.

Take for example a tree. Trees have long been a symbol of life and rightly so because without them, we would not have life. Year after year, they endure the harsh elements of nature, they are neglected by the very people they produce oxygen for to breathe and they accept with grace the challenges they need to go through to build strength enough to make a comeback from what seems like death each spring.
What about you? If you are one who wishes peace and good health for all, are you more apt to follow the example of others who put forth effort for the same or can you learn from what is gleaned by examining a tree? Share your thoughts with us…Jeanne Claire Probst
Will we ever?
Will we ever learn to do what is good toward all?
Will we ever learn to listen when others call?
Will we ever learn to appreciate what we have been given?
Will we ever learn to work together for the benefit of all those living?
I sure would love to see us united by a bond
That would strengthen and help us all to have something to build on
That would allow us to make our earthly home
A place where love would dictate our actions; and in freedom all could roam.
If you can imagine what it might be like,
To do away with barriers that cage people like mice
And allow each person their needs in all degrees
Than like me…you could imagine a world where we live in peace.
I am up for the challenge and I hope you are too,
And really, not much is going to be asked of you,
Except that you treat others the way you would like them to treat you
And then watch and see what will happen when we do.
