Worcester Revolution of 1774 Discussion

Discussion about the Worcester Revolution of 1774 at the Northborough Library.

Northborough
is joining a county-wide read to commemorate the Worcester Revolution
of 1774, which will culminate in a re-enactment and dramatic
presentation on Worcester Common on September 7, 2014. Northborough was
one of 37 towns whose militiamen marched into Worcester and forced
British authority out of Worcester County, seven months before the
battles at Lexington and Concord, and two years before America's
Declaration of Independence.

The book we'll be reading is The First American Revolution: Before Lexington and Concord,
written by Ray Raphael, and recently reprinted in paperback. A limited
number of copies of the book will be available for loan in early July.
The book discussion will take place on Tuesday, August 12, at 7 p.m. in
the library. Jack Sharp, one of our Trustees, will facilitate the
discussion.
