15 Minute Crash Courses
Boston Center for Adult Education Partners with Downtown Boston BID to Create a Weekly Pop-Up Classroom

Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) is teaming up with the Downtown Boston Business Improvement District (BID) for a series of outdoor crash courses. Every Tuesday for eight weeks, beginning August 18th, 2015, the BCAE will pitch a tent to create a pop-up classroom at One Summer Street in Downtown Crossing for an afternoon of fun and interactive 15 minute classes.
Conveniently held from 11:30AM to 1:00PM, the BCAE, whose mission is to encourage people to “never stop learning,” and the Downtown Boston BID are redefining what it means to power lunch. Each week they’ll feature a different themed class taught by one of the BCAE’s expert instructors ranging from line dancing and stand-up comedy to iPhone photography and bracelet making. Attendees will have a chance to stretch their legs and break from the norm in these 15 minute crash courses all while still leaving time for lunch!
Each week there are four chances to participate, with a class starting at 11:30AM, 12:00PM, 12:30PM and 1:00PM. Classes are $5-$10 (including materials) and pre-registration can be done on the BCAE’s website, www.bcae.org, or on site the day of the class. All classes will be held under a tent and are weather permitting.
