The Boston Harbor Hotel Brings Back Ice Skating to the Waterfront

The Tradition of Winter on the Wharf Continues with a Season of 5-Star Fun and Festivities Imagined and Refined by the Boston Harbor Hotel

The Boston Harbor Hotel is pleased to announce the return of its Winter on the Wharf season of festivities, including the city’s most picturesque ice-skating rink, located under the Hotel’s iconic archway. Beginning on November 22, 2014, Bostonians, visitors, and adventurers big and small can enjoy all the pleasures of a New England winter – invigorating outdoor fun, breathtaking waterfront views, joyous celebrations and timeless winter classics.

Breathtaking views and a playful atmosphere come together at the Boston Harbor Hotel’s approximately 2,500 square foot (80 ft. by 30 ft.)Rotunda Rink to create a luxurious winter retreat. Made with real ice, the Rotunda Rink can accommodate up to 75 skaters.

Framed by spectacular views of both the harbor and city, the Rotunda Rink will open for the season with a special Season Opener Celebration on Saturday, November 22, 2014. From 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., the Rotunda Rink will be open to the public for complimentary skating, winter warming treats and a flurry of family-friendly festivities. Event highlights include a 4:00 p.m. appearance by Citi Performing Art Center’s Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, festive winter crafts and cookie decorating, face-painting, balloon animals, raffle prizes, holiday music, movies and more.

Spend winter days and nights enjoying the food, drink, merriment, and spectacle of the Boston Harbor Hotel’s Winter on the Wharf, a season of five-star fun and festivities anchored by the new Rotunda Rink. Combining perennial favorites with one-of-a-kind special events and holiday traditions, Winter on the Wharf offers visitors a flurry of festivities that can be enjoyed throughout the winter months.

After a spin on the rink, skaters are invited to warm up with après-skate treats. Timeless winter indulgences like specialty hot cocoa, winter cocktails and Rowes Wharf Sea Grille’s seasonal Frost Tea are sure to warm children’s hearts and make adult spirits soar. Hand-crafted cocktails, signature dishes and sensational snacks prepared by the Boston Harbor Hotel’s award-winning culinary team will be offered daily in Rowes Wharf Sea Grille and Rowes Wharf Bar throughout the season.
