Boston Police Seeking Public's Help in North End Assault Investigation

Police have released a video of the alleged suspect in a Saturday morning assault.

The Boston Police Department is asking for help from the public in identifying an individual seen in a video connected with a recent assault in the North End. 

The incident occurred around 1:11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 in the area of Salem and Sheafe streets, when officers from District A-1 responded to a report of sexual assault in the area of Unity Street in the North End. 

Upon arrival, detectives spoke with a female victim in her 20s who reported that someone had pushed his way in behind her while she was entering her front foyer before assaulting the victim, according to Boston police

The woman, who was treated with non-life threatening injures, told police that the suspect then took a photo from his cell phone and fled the area towards Tileston Street, according to police. 

The suspect, who can be seen in a YouTube video released by police, is described as a white male in his 20s with a medium build, short blond spiked hair, is clean shaven and possibly has freckles on his cheeks, according to police. He is also believed to have blue eyes and was seen wearing a dark-colored pea coat, dark hat, jeans and Timberland-style boots the night of the attack.
