Police: Woman Smuggled Cocaine in Wheelchair at Logan Airport
Authorities say woman attempted to move four bricks of cocaine through Boston's Logan Airport.

A Dominican Republic native was indicted on federal charges Thursday in connection with allegedly smuggling cocaine hidden in a wheelchair at Boston’s Logan International Airport.
Ireline Aponte Melende was indicted in U.S. District Court in Boston on charges of unlawful importation of cocaine.
Melende was busted at Logan Airport back in May after a flight from the Dominican Republic, officials say.

Law enforcement officials X-rayed Melende’s motorized wheelchair and discovered four bricks of a white powdery substance hidden in batteries, officials say.
If Melende is proved guilty and convicted, she could face up 20 years in prison and fine of up to $1 million.
