Make Way for Ducklings Store and National Braille Press to Host Children's Braille Reading Event
Make Way for Ducklings Store and National Braille Press (NBP) will host a braille book reading during the store's weekly children's reading.

WHAT: Make Way for Ducklings Store and National Braille Press (NBP) will host a braille book reading during the store’s weekly children’s reading hour. Braille readers will read the children’s book Dragons Love Tacos, a New York Times bestseller tale of new friends and the perfect snack. They will also sing the Dragons Love Tacos song, written for NBP’s braille literacy program by Matt Kaplowitz, and be given miniature maracas to accompany them. In addition, the children and parents will have the opportunity to make a Thanksgiving type of craft. Parents who attend the event will also receive discount coupons for tacos and other Mexican food at XXXX and XXXX at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. The event coincides with the 30th Anniversary of the NBP’s Children’s Braille Book Club, the first book club featuring print/braille books in the country.
This event is part of Make Way for Ducklings weekly story hour, held every Thursday morning at 10:30am at their store in Faneuil Hall. Held upstairs in a special storytime area of the store, Make Way for Ducklings Store, hosts a dynamic storytime and activities for kids including music and crafts. About Make Way For Ducklings Store
The Make Way for Ducklings Store is located at 8 North Market Building, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston, MA. Themed around the official storybook of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the store celebrates the characters of Make Way for Ducklings book by Robert McCloskey and other internationally-recognized authors with local Boston ties. The storytime store was created by Adam Hirsch, owner of The World’s Only Curious George Store in Harvard Square.
