Murphy & King, Professional Corporation Announces New Shareholder, David M. Shamberger, Esq.

Murphy & King, Professional Corporation announced today that Attorney David M. Shamberger has joined the firm as a Shareholder in the Corporate and Real Estate department. Mr. Shamberger concentrates his practice on corporate and real estate matters with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, private equity, start-ups and emerging growth companies, and technology and intellectual property matters.

Prior to joining Murphy & King, Mr. Shamberger was a Partner in the Corporate Department at Sherin and Lodgen LLP, a Boston-based real estate, litigation and business law firm. David also worked as a Partner in the Business Law Department at Burns & Levinson LLP, a Boston-based full service law firm, and as Senior Counsel in the Corporate and Business Law Department at Day Pitney LLP, a regional full service law firm.

Mr. Shamberger is on the Membership Committee of the Association for Corporate Growth and a member of the 128 Innovation Capital Group, Boston New Technology Meet Up Group, ENET Boston Entrepreneurs Network, Mass Innovation, MIT Enterprise Forum, Mosaic Hub, SBANE and Ultra Light Startups. David also has served as a mentor and judge at the Mass Challenge, Lean Start-Up Challenge, and the Boston College Carroll School of Management Venture Capital Competition. In addition, David is a member of the American Bar Association and Boston Bar Association.

Mr. Shamberger earned his Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School and his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Dartmouth College. He resides in South Boston.
