RIVERSIDE THEATRE WORKS SEEKS ACTORS FOR “SIDEWAYS STORIES”

Riverside Theatre Works, a community theater in Hyde Park, is holding auditions for “Sideways Stories from Wayside School,” a funny, colorful, family-friendly play based on the popular children’s books by Louis Sachar.
Auditions are for ADULTS ONLY, and will be held on Tuesday, November 5th and Wednesday, November 6th from 7-9 p.m. at 45 Fairmount Avenue in Hyde Park. If needed, callbacks will take place on Tuesday, November 12 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Performances will take place on Thursday, February 27th at 10:30 a.m.; Friday, February 28 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, March 1 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 2 at 2 p.m.

BEBE, a student (the fastest draw – at art)
LESLIE, a student (has long pigtails and reads upside down):
MYRON, a student (obsessed with pulling Leslie’s pigtails)
RONDI, a student (has the prettiest teeth in Wayside School):
DAMEON, a student (never stops smiling)
LOUIS, the yard teacher:
MRS. JEWLS, a teacher:
MR. PICKLE, the sinister school councilor
MISS VALOOOSH, a dancer
Riverside Theatre Works, located in an historic Hyde Park opera house, is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to bringing quality, affordable theater and arts education to the surrounding community. Riverside’s 2013-14 season also includes “Cabaret” and “Nuncrackers: The Nunsense Christmas Musical.”
