Snow May Hit Boston on Halloween Weekend

Temperatures will dip into 30s all weekend.

Halloween weekend may bring a special fright for Bostonβ€”snow.

There’s a slight chance of snow on Saturday, when temperatures dip into the mid-30s at night.

β€œRain showers will push eastward from the Appalachians during Friday evening into the swath from near Philadelphia to New York City, Boston and Portland, Maine,” AccuWeather said. β€œWet snowflakes can mix with the rain.”

Here’s the extended forecast for Boston:

  • Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high near 55.
  • Thursday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 42.
  • Friday: Partly sunny with a high near 53.
  • Friday Night: A 30-percent chance of rain; mostly cloudy with a low around 39.
  • Saturday: A 40-percent chance of rain; cloudy with a high near 45.
  • Saturday Night: A 40-percent chance of rain and snow; mostly cloudy with a low around 34.
  • Sunday: Partly sunny with a high near 44.
  • Sunday Night: Partly cloudy with a low around 33.
