Boston Dinner Cruise Ship Returns to the Water Following Extensive Overhaul, Reintroducing Bostonians to an all-new Spirit

Boston, MA (May 6, 2015) – The Spirit of Boston is proud to announce its return to the waters of Boston Harbor following a $2.5M ship transformation. One of Entertainment Cruises’ three luxury yachts, providing dining, and private events, the Spirit of Boston will reveal its extensive structural and experiential offering rebirth in June, 2015.
The Spirit of Boston now features interior lounges, contemporary furniture, an additional outdoor bar, re-modeled interior bars and new innovative dance floors with state-of-the-art DJ booths where many of the area’s top DJ’s will perform outdoors every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
In addition, the Spirit will be providing a wide array of interactive entertainment and activities including an on board photo booth, larger than life Jenga, shuffleboard table, bean bag toss, table games in the lounge area and even an anti-griddle station. The Spirit will also be featuring several eye catching kiosks displaying defining Boston-area locations and characteristics such as Boston sports memorabilia, Harbor Island sites and various historical landmarks around the city.

“We can’t wait to unveil the amazing amount of work that has gone into making the brand new Spirit of Boston even more of a prized possession on Boston’s short list of the finest, most unique luxury dining and entertainment providers,” said Entertainment Cruises General Manager, Kelley Yelle. “Every aspect of the renovation project – from significant architectural remodeling to new menu options – was carried out with meticulous attention to detail in perfecting a venue for seasonal activities and diverse entertainment options unlike anything in the Boston area.”
The Spirit’s three climate-controlled decks with panoramic windows and topside open-air roof deck present an ideal venue for corporate teambuilding events, weddings, private celebrations and events or gatherings with colleagues for an early evening cocktail.

In addition to its regular scheduled cruises, the Spirit will be introducing a new Friday Cruise concept, Boathouse Fridays. The young professional and after work crowd will be able to come and go as they like from 3:00pm-9:00pm every Friday from June through September. Cruises will be dockside for an hour and cruise for an hour. For under $20.00 guests can enjoy live music, interactive activities and a new dining and cocktail menu featuring fresh, locally sourced food and drink options designed by the Spirit’s corporate executive chef. The Spirit’s new menu also features a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options.
“Dining on the water is a special experience few get to enjoy. To make that experience a memorable one for all of our guests, we want to offer a selection of food and drink menu items that can satisfy any taste or dietary preference,” added Yelle.
The Spirit of Boston returns dockside to its home in Boston’s Seaport District after being under renovation since January 2015 and will continue to offer a year round mix of lunch, dinner, cocktail, holiday and specialty themed cruises across Boston Harbor.
Capacity aboard the Spirit of Boston is 600, and has private decks that can accommodate groups of up to 200 and 350 with semi-private space that can hold 45 and 100. For more information, please visit www.spiritcruises.com/boston.
