• Community meeting Thursday to discuss Eversource tree removal plan in 11 towns (recorder.com) — Northfield sits at one end of a major Eversource transmission line where planned tree clearing and corridor widening could affect local landscapes and nearby Franklin County towns. A community meeting in North Amherst on Thursday will gather public input on the WT-11 reliability project, which would clear 278 acres and significantly widen the powerline right-of-way from Northfield to Ludlow.
