Do You Want to Tour the New High School? You'll Soon Have Your Chance

You will soon get to tour the new North Reading High School.

There will be a community ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 20. Everyone is invited.

Students will get their first look at the new school next week. The Class of 2015 will tour the new school from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Class of 2016 and 2017 will tour the facility from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2 and the Class of 2018 will get to the see their new school from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3. Note: These tours are for students only.

The tours will begin in the main lobby, which is accessible from the parking lot.

Parking for all tours will be available at the rear of the new high school accessible from the driveway/access road that begins in the parking lot of the old North Reading High, which will serve as the middle school for the upcoming school year.

There will be no food or drink allowed in the high school during the tours.

The high school portion of the project will open next month, while the middle school portion will open for the following school year. North Reading voters approved two debt exclusion overrides to fund the project.
