Families Get First Look at New Middle School
Official ribbon cutting ceremony for the school will take place at the end of the month.

Students and their families got a sneak preview of the new North Reading Middle School on Wednesday morning.
The official start of school for North Reading is Wednesday, Sept. 9, with staff reporting for orientation on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

North Reading Superintendent Jon C. Bernard said the completion and opening of the new North Reading Middle School is most likely the most noteworthy change in the district as students head back to school.
The new North Reading Middle School will join North Reading High School to form a new, state-of-the art, grades 6-12 campus.

In a letter to parents and students, Bernard extended his appreciation to the community for its support of these two new schools and for the overall trust, confidence, and support of public education in our town.
On Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 6:30 p.m. there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially commemorate the opening of the new North Reading Middle School.
