North Reading Boys and Girls Earn No. 8 Seed in Tournament

Different records earned the same seed as the North Reading boys and girls each were named No. 8 seeds in the Division 3 North basketball tournament.

The boys sit right in the middle of the 15-team field at 13-7 and will host No. 9 Greater Lawrence on Monday. The Reggies ended the season 12-8. Should North Reading win, they'll face No. 1 seed Watertown on Friday.

At 11-11, the girls are the lowest seed in the eight-team field and will head to Amesbury Thursday to face the top-seeded Indians. Amesbury finished the year 18-1. Should the Hornets pull off the upset they'll face the winner of the game between No. 4 seed Green Academy of Brighton (13-5) and No. 5 St. Mary's (14-8).
