Reading Co-operative Bank is proud to award Shirley Zhang of North Reading High School with a $1000 scholarship to attend Wellesley College.

Reading Co-operative Bank is proud to award Shirley Zhang of North Reading High School with a $1000 scholarship to attend Wellesley College. Zhang wants to explore economics during her time at Wellesley, but is currently undecided as to her major. Zhang was a standout student at North Reading High and an active leader in many extracurricular activities. She was the captain of the swim team, president of the American Chinese Society, as well as a participant in a model United Nations.

“We are proud to award Shirley as the recipient of our annual scholarship. We wish her the best of luck pursuing a degree at Wellesley College and hope to hear how she is doing in the future,” says North Reading manager Mike Walbourne. “There are so many students and families that could use financial aid to help ease the financial burden that comes with higher education. I feel proud to be part of an organization that actively recognizes and acts upon this need.”
