Norwellians - Wear a bicycle helmet and you may win a free ice cream cone.

Sweet deal. Bicyclists, children and adults, may be stopped by the Norwell Police for doing the RIGHT thing – wearing a helmet.

Johnson Brunetti, an independent retirement and investment specialist firm, founded in 2003, with local offices in Norwell, Needham, Franklin, and Woburn, MA, have championed and sponsored the “Heads up! Protect your future!” program that kicks off in Norwell on July 1, 2026.

Lucky helmeted riders will be “ticketed” with a gift certificate to beloved Hornstra Dairy Farm for a small cup or cone – sprinkles included, if you like.

“We take pride in caring for our community and are always looking for ways to encourage both personal and financial safety,” noted Joel Johnson, CFP, Founder of Johnson Brunetti. He continued, “This program ties in both philosophies to reward those who take action to protect their futures.”

Norwell Police and School Resource Officer Rick Phelps added, “We look forward to reinforcing conscientious helmet wearing and helping set a long-term, positive behavior.”
