3rd OUI, Pitbull Attack, And More: Norwood Police Log

October 19

11:02 a.m. - A caller at the Norwood Plaza on Nahatan Street told police that they saw two pitbulls attack another dog. The animal control officer responded and will handle the incident.

1:58 a.m. - Three people sleeping in the Bubbles-Up Laundromat on Central Street were reported.

3:37 p.m. - A caller reported possible drug activity near McDonald’s on Broadway. John O’Connell, 55, of Westwood, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor (third offense), operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), and possession of an open container of alcohol inside a motor vehicle. O’Connell also had an active warrant.

October 22

12:07 a.m. - A caller reported vehicle vandalism on Dean Street.

9:15 p.m. - A resident reported a car crash on Lenox Avenue. The driver, Anthony Constantino III, 32, of Norwood, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
