98.5 Sports Hub Host Injured In Norwood On Way To Pats Game

Marc Bertrand​ was involved in a crash on Route 1 while on his way to Saturday night's Patriots game.

NORWOOD, MA — A popular radio host says he's lucky to be alive following a car crash on Route 1 in Norwood.

Marc Bertrand of 98.5 The Sports Hub was driving down Route 1 in Norwood towards Gillete Stadium Saturday when his truck was struck by another vehicle. He wrote on his Facebook page that the other car exited a parking lot on a straight line at full speed and struck the passenger side of his Dodge Ram.

"I only saw the car for a split second before going for a roller coaster ride when my truck rolled and eventually came to a stop on its side," he wrote.

Bertrand said he is alright and has been released from the hospital after suffering some injuries. Pictures from the scene show that the crash took place near the Kia dealership.

The host said firefighters needed the jaws of life to free him from his vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle was issued a citation, according to the Norwood Police Log.
