Agenda for the Board of Selectmen, July 12

The Norwood Board of Selectmen will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in room 34 of Town Hall. Here are the highlights from issues on tonight's agenda:

• Chief Bartley King of the NPD and Chief Michael Howard of the NFD will be submitting the monthly reports of their departments' activities.
• Robert M. Thornton, Town Clerk and Accountant will be submitting two letters from Mark Joseph – one delivered on June 28 addressed to the School Committee and one delivered on June 29 addressed to Mr. Thornton rescinding the letter of resignation to School Committee with a request for formal opinion from Town Counsel. The Town Counsel will then submit an opinion on the resignation.
• Thornton will then be submitting official notification of the resignation of Mark Joseph from the Norwood School Committee, and a vacancy on said committee, effective June 28, 2011.
