Some of what's facing our town selectmen tonight.

The Norwood Board of Selectmen will meet in room 34 of Town Hall. Here are the highlights from issues on tonight's agenda:

  • There will be two public hearings, starting at 7:30, one for London Taxi of Norwood and one for Anjoul Cab of Norwood, both for violation of the town's hackney rules and regulations.
  • Robert M. Thornton, Town Clerk and Accountant will be submitting Norwood’s Re-Precincting Plan, including map, legal descriptions and block listings as a result of  2010 U.S. Census results.
  • Chris Folan will be submitting thank you communication for the Norwood Fire Dept. and paramedics John Shea and Chris Griffin for their response to emergency involving his daughter.
  • Sherrie McGowan, from Mrs. Cormier’s International Issues class at the high school will be submitting an editorial on building a new skate park behind the police station for teenagers with suggestion the Board vote to consider it. An e-mail was received from Chief Howard opposing the skate park behind the station because of a public safety hazard.
