Agenda for the Board of Selectmen, Mar. 8

Information on what's facing the town Selectmen.

The Norwood Board of Selectmen will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in room 34 of Town Hall. Here are the highlights from issues on tonight's agenda:

  • Norwood Fire Department Chief Michael J. Howard will submit a monthly report of the department's activities.
  • At 7:15 p.m. there will be a continuation of the public hearings on 10:00 a.m. Sunday openings for some town restaurants, tonight the Colonial House Restaurant on Savin Ave. Any resident can attend to express thoughts or concerns during the public hearing time.
  • The Massachusetts Public Research Interest Group will be submitting a request for Norwood to pass a resolution in order to demonstrate support for the updated bottle bill, expanding kinds of containers covered by a deposit to include water bottles, sports drinks and similar beverages.
  • Submitting notice for reappointment of Timothy J. McDonough to the Board of Assessors for a three year term to expire April 1, 2014.
