Highlights from the agenda for the Board of Selectmen meeting, including public hearing information.

The Norwood Board of Selectmen will meet tonight at 7:00 p.m. in room 34 of Town Hall. Here are the highlights from issues on tonight's agenda:
- Mark Ryan, Superintendent of the DPW, and Malcolm McDonald, Superintendent of the Light Department will be submitting monthly reports of departments' activities.
- Patty Bailey, South Norwood Committee Chair, will be submitting a request to display the crèche at the Morse House for the holidays and submitting a thank you to John Carroll, Mark Ryan and Steve Costello for improving the infrastructure in the South Norwood area.
- Russ Maguire, Manager, Norwood Airport, will be submitting a state study that finds that Norwood Airport created $51 million last year in total economic activity.
- There will be a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on the 2012 Community Development Grant Application. The application proposes two activities: 1. The continuation of the Norwood Housing Rehabilitation Program in the Downtown Norwood Area, the Ward Midtown Area and the South Norwood Area and their surrounding residential areas; 2. Electrical upgrades at the Norwood Housing Authority’s 75-unit Washington Heights Development. Pursuant to grant requirements, both activities lie within the Town’s Community Development Fund Target Area. Any person or organization wishing to be heard will be afforded an opportunity to speak.
