Alleged Drug Dealer Tried to Flee Norwood Police Through 3rd Story Window: Police

Demaul Golson, 36, and Orisha Howell, 38, both of Stoughton, were arrested Thursday by Norwood police and face drug charges.

NORWOOD, MA — A person accused of selling crack cocaine in Norwood tried to make an escape through a third-story window, police said.

Demaul Golson, 36, and Orisha Howell, 38, both of Stoughton, were arrested Thursday by the Norwood Police Department and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (subsequent offense) and conspiracy to violate drug laws, according to the Norwood Police Department.

The arrests come on the heels of an extensive investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine in Norwood and other Norfolk County towns. While Stoughton police executed a search warrant at the home of Golson and Howell on Wheeler Circle in Stoughton, Golson allegedly fled into a Norwood residence. Once inside, Golson went to the third floor of the home and attempted to escape by exiting a window on the floor, police said. He was placed into custody shortly after his landing on the ground. He was treated for a wrist injury.
