Norwood Bank Donates $4,000 to the Ecumenical Community Food Pantry of Norwood

Christopher B. Dixon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norwood Bank, donated $4,000 to the Ecumenical Community Food Pantry of Norwood on behalf of the Norwood Charitable Foundation at Norwood Bank.

With an all-volunteer staff of approximately 100 youths and adults, the Food Pantry is assisting approximately 350 families, an increase of 100 families this past year due to
the economy.  Home deliveries to the handicapped and shut-ins are also provided.

Ruth Taeger, President of the Food Pantry stated that “Norwood is the great and generous town.  Whenever I call for help, it always arrives.  We are so grateful to all the
residents and businesses of Norwood who have been most generous with their donations."

Donations of hygiene products such as soap, detergent, toothpaste, and shampoo are always needed. The Food Pantry is located at 150 Chapel Street in Norwood.  For more information, contact Ruth Taeger at 781-769-0425.
