Asphalt Plant Comes In Front Of Norwood ZBA
The project is hoping to obtain a special permit from the board.

NORWOOD, MA — A proposal for an asphalt plant in Norwood was recently in front of the zoning board of appeals.
Last week, the board upheld Building Inspector Mark Chubet's original decision to not issue a building permit to store toxic or hazardous materials in a water resource protection overlay district. The plant was to be located at 973 University Ave., according to the Norwood Record.
The original decision remains pending in Land Court, which some board members saw as reason to deny the permit, with Chairman Philip Riley asking if they should wait for a court ruling.
